Component draws their unique sound from a variety of influences and musical genres, from reggae and jazz to metal, blues and punk.
The band was formed by 4 very different musicans answering ads around the Massacuestts area. Around Oct '01 Sam (guitar) put up some ads seeking a drummer, bassist, and singer. Sam found David (vocals) by responding to an ad, and recruited Marika (guitar) from her last project. The bass slot was then filled by Sean (who ironically had crossed paths with Sam years earlier on another project). After a few months of searching David found Adam in a music store and the band was completed. An album's worth of material has been written so far...
David and Adam have since departed, Dan has come in on drums, and the band is seeking a new singer.
