Hmm, right here is most likely the hardest record I've had to review all year. Ya, ya I know the year's young. I could easily pass this off as a Dillinger Escape Plan rip off, but you gotta look deeper into what Scarlet has going on. If you just listen to the first couple of tracks you miss out on merging sounds and toppled guitar chords that blend well together. With vocals that are actually used here and there on this record. It's when they don't try to be so hard that Scarlet comes off with a Cult Classic. With tracks such as "Suicide Soundtrack", "Life Support", "Dead America", "Human Pollen, "My Black Hole Girl", and I would have to say that "You're My Fix" is the best track on this album. Like I said when Scarlet try to be themselves and not every other band out there they lay down some great tracks, it's just too bad it's mixed together with tech wanna-be songs.
