Superjoint Ritual
The title of this
album pretty much sums up American society, while the
album itself pretty much destoys it. So far Phil being
bored has been a good thing, and Superjoint is even more
evidence shown. On this little project Jimmy Bower lays
down huge thick slabs of 70's riffage, (playing guitar
this time around). Throw Hank III's presence on bass in
with the bunch and it blends into a chaotic mix of punk
and stoner metal. Fast, Heavy, and sometimes just plain
insane. Black Flag meets Discharge meets Black Sabbath
perhaps? Either way Superjoint sound like the crossover
band that never was, but finally is.
