Bring back one of the best noise/skater bands to grace the underground scene, Unsane has reunited and brought with them one of the best sounding and well written records they've done in some time. Usually, when a band calls it a day and gets back together you like the new record, but that's not the case here. This is seriously some of their best writing, mixing it up nicely between the Jesus Lizard/Today is the Day, and early Melvins style song patterns, it lets Unsane breath new life into their songs. Still relying heavily on bass to lead the charge, it doesn't hurt at all as the mixture is fresh and driven. Check them out if you have a chance on their upcoming tour, 'cause who knows when the next one will be.
