Oregon doom hippies YOB have brought forth another slab of spiritual musical mantras to purify our ears. On Atma we're met with 5 epic, string twisting, brain-stirring, sections of musical blood sacrifice, possibly their finest yet. Like a sonic army that seemingly takes forever to march over the horizon, YOB makes you wait for the enevitable crushing. One tends to get lost in the endless waves of rolling doom, getting progressively bigger on the horizon before enveloping you completely, and sucking you away with the undertow.
YOB are one of those few talented bands so heavy they sound like a bus full of crazy suicide cult members with flowers in their hair bring pushed into an abandoned granite quarry...in super slow motion.
