While going to see High on Fire, I find old members of a nicely kept secret of DIY's, There Were Wires. This band was a far stretch from TWW, as this project is more in the vein of Isis, Cult of Luna, or Neurosis, blending different tones and sound with off-rhythms in almost a Godflesh way. With a mere two songs on the demo, it runs in just under 25 minutes. Look for them playing shows around Boston, and hopefully putting more than two records out.
