Let's start with some background I guess, these guys are from Japan, they've been around for 6 years, this is their 5th full length album, it's produced by Steve Albini, and it's currently blowing my mind. It's like a flowing soundtrack, 6 songs, ranging in length from almost 4 minutes to over 15...all instrumental. Beautiful and subtle atmospheric picking and strings give way to crashing waves of violent distortion. The song arrangements are complex, there are violins and a piano in there, with who knows what else. If you like Isis and Pelican you'll dig these guys.
