I've been hooked on Mouth Of The Architect ever since I heard their first album, "Time and Withering" a couple of years back. Their 2nd album is just as stunning, haunting, painfully beautiful, and a bit more metal. They don't stray too far from farmilliar territory here, but there is definately a new trick or two up their sleeve. Mastodon's Brent Hines makes an appearance on "At Arm's Length", where the vocals alternate thru the song, just adding to the overall metal vibe. There's still the signature heavy sonic storm followed by little flowing mellow passages, epic, complex arrangements and intense buildups. Amazing.
