It's been four years since the release of 'Voice Of Omens' which I listened to so often when it came out, that listening to 'Rest' is like a metal time machine. They haven't changed their sound. 'Rest' has all the same ingredients that made 'Voice of Omens' work. Dark and pummeling. Twisting evil guitar lines crawl over megalithic rhythms carving and transforming into four epic, sprawling songs. (There are six tracks but two are really just an intro and a sample. Not to discredit the intro 'Souls of the Sky', which is beautiful. It just seems to serve as an entrance to the cave of heavy in which Rwake exists.
