Okay, this New England's every own Shockwave, the only other thing to come out of New Hampshire since Scissorfight. And taking a cue from Scissorfight, they bring the metal, nothing but metal, taking from a nice bag of influence. But don't worry folks, they come orginal and with metal, that's not always an easy thing to do. Okay, the lyrics aren't the most orginal, straight up Slipknot. When Rudy actually sings it's right up there with some of the best, but his yelling is a weak impression of Dave Mustaine...more melodic boys, try back ups. The tracks to check out: "I Saw God Die", a nice little punk/metal song with a sick breakdown towards the end. "Non-Existent", this one starts off with a nice layed back guitar and drum track, almost jazzy. System of a Down would be proud and Rudy brings the voice out the best on this one, best track on the demo. "Darwinism Failed", nothing but heavy, where once again Rudy actually surprises me with strong, up front vocals. The riffs are hard, but in a Slayer "Dead Skin Mask" way, another fist full of metal. And the final track on the demo "Survivor of a Suicide", it's nice kinda ole skool, bringin' it all with the Anthrax on this one, till it breaks down with a mellow bridge and 80's thrash-style solo to end the song. Peace, I'm out, if you're from New England, then you can check out Shockwave, as of right now I believe they're looking for a bass player. ASAP metalheds.
